Curriculum Learning

Heritage Services Leicestershire County Council is an award-winning service, which provides a diverse range of events, family activities and school sessions that reach out to wide audiences locally and nationally. We are an awarding winning service having recently won the Best Small Visitor Attraction Award for Leicestershire Promotions Ltd.

The Heritage Education Team delivers a number of learning sessions at the 1620s House and its sister site, Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre, aimed at KS1-5 and HE pupils with links to history, science and English. They include costumed characters and real artefacts and they interpret two of the biggest events in history, the Gunpowder Plot and the Wars of the Roses.

You can find out about our learning sessions at the 1620s House & Garden on the website http://www.doningtonleheath.org.uk/learn/
