Temporary Exhibition

The Temporary Exhibition for 2017 commemorates the local activities prior to the Re-interment of Richard III in March 2015. The exhibition includes the Richard III soils casket, made by Michael Ibsen, which contains soil from Fotheringay, Middleham and Bosworth Battlefield, the bier which carried Richard’s coffin to the sundial ceremony and a stunning embroidered banner made for display on Manor Road, Desford as the cortege passed by.

The Temporary Gallery is next to the shop and admission is free.

2018 will see an exhibition on market Bosworth in WWI alongside the work of ‘The Bosworth Tommies’, a group of adults with special needs who have been working on several wonderful projects around the First World War.

The re-interment artifacts will be re-displayed around the site.
