Medieval Festival 2026 FAQ’s
I struggle with loud noises, will I still be able to watch the battle re-enactments?
Yes, we will have ear defenders available to borrow if you would like to watch the re-enactments. If it is still too noisy for you, there are quieter places on site which you can move to.
What payment methods can I use throughout the day?
Our ticket desks, shops and café take both cash and card, as will most of the market and food traders.
I have a dietary requirement, will I be able to purchase food?
Both the Tithe Barn Café and the food traders try to accommodate different dietary needs. Click here for more information on individual food vendors throughout the weekend. If you would rather bring your own picnic this is fine too.
Does the ticket cover both days?
Yes, your ticket allows you to enter the festival on both Saturday and Sunday to allow you to experience everything that Medieval Festival has to offer.
Should I bring my own seating?
We bring in extra seating over the Medieval Festival weekend, but feel free to bring your own seating with you.
What is the terrain like?
Our site is situated on a hill and can be quite uneven in places. A large portion of the event, including overflow parking, is situated on grassy fields. The grass will be cut short for the weekend and there is plenty of seating if you need it. If you have any accessibility concerns please get in touch with us.
Do you pay for parking over Medieval Festival weekend?
No, parking is free over the weekend. There are accessible parking spaces on site, which the Sea Cadets can direct you to if needed.
Can I camp on site?
No you cannot camp on the Bosworth Battlefield site, but there are plenty of campsites and hotels nearby.
Can I take drone images of Medieval Festival?
Drones are not permitted to fly over the Bosworth Battlefield site, including over the Medieval Festival weekend.
Are author talks included in my ticket?
No author talks, along with certain other activities such as have-a-go archery, cost extra. We recommend re-booking your author talk tickets to avoid disappointment.

Is it suitable for young children?
Yes visitors of all ages are welcome at Medieval Festival. Children must be accompanied by a guardian at all times while on the Bosworth Battlefield site.
Are dogs allowed?

What happens if I need to go back to my car?
