We look forward to welcoming families to the Bosworth Medieval Festival, with plenty for all ages to enjoy! From hands-on activities to lively performances, it’s the perfect place to step into history and make lasting memories.
Family Bill Drill
Join in the action with a family ‘Bill Drill’ and learn how soldiers at the Battle of Bosworth would have used their polearms in battle. A fun and interactive way to experience history first-hand.
This is included in your ticket. No pre-booking required.
Knight School
Join our resident knight to learn the basics of sword fighting at ‘Knight School’.
This is included in the ticket price, but places fill up quickly
Children’s Knight School is suitable for ages 7-14.
There will also be an adults knight school which can be booked at the ticket office.
DIY Battle of Bosworth
Step into the action of 22 August 1485 with our wonderful Battlefield Guides as you take part in an engaging DIY Battle of Bosworth
Then why not discover the Bosworth story further as the exhibition will be free over the weekend.
Have-a-go archery
Take aim and try your hand at archery with the Bowmen of Bosworth, a fun challenge for both children and adults looking to test their skills.

Fancy-dress Competition
Children are invited to come dressed in their finest medieval inspired costumes and take part in our fancy-dress competition, with fantastic prizes to be won!
Crafting in the Cabins
Let imaginations run wild with craft activities in the cabins, perfect for budding artists.
Jester Performances
Keep an eye out for our jester, who will be performing and entertaining visitors as he roams the site, bringing laughter and surprises along the way.
