Bosworth Myths

Our wonderful Bosworth Guides will be delivering a series of fantastic talks on Sundays until our Guided Walks start back up again.  

There are many myths and legends surrounding the Battle of Bosworth, join us as we go through those that are still propagated, but have been debunked.

Topics covered will include he Lancastrian Red Rose, the White Boar Inn, Richard’s Bed, the Old Crone on Bow Bridge , the Blind Beggar at South Gates, fighting on Ambion Hill, Stoke villagers watching the battle (not a myth anymore), Richard’s Well, and Richard’s burila in a. the stone coffin and b. the River Soar, plus a little delve into Richard’s reputation as told by Tudor historians.
