Join our brilliant Battlefield Guide as they bring the thousand-year history of our site to life!
Discover:
- Our site’s connection to the Romans and Boudicca
- The tragic fate that befell Ambion village
- How it must have felt to be a soldier on the eve of battle
- What links Victorian railways and King Richard’s Well
- Medieval and local traditions
- and if you’re lucky you might catch a glimpse of the area’s nocturnal wildlife!

This walk will last approximately 1.5 hours and take place outdoors on a mix of gravel paths and dirt tracks. Please wear suitable footwear and clothing. You are welcome to bring a small torch or headlamp.
Unfortunately, this walk is not suitable for dogs.
