The BDZ is a free space for families and young children to play and learn. Open Thursday to Sundays during Leicestershire school holidays. Please note during certain events a ticket may be required.

Engage your young ones for some happy hours playing with the games on the lawn, self-led storytelling and craft activities free of charge. Sorry no dogs.

On Saturday 8^th August, a pirate ship will be erected on the BDZ lawn for playing on to coincide with the Treasure Island Outdoor Theatre.

Thurs 20^th Aug, Fri 21^st Medieval Festival 22^nd– 23^rd August, storytelling on BDZ lawn and inside a quiet space.

PLEASE NOTE a Med Fest ticket needs to be purchased to enter the site during the weekend of the festival.

Bosworth is a great day out for the young family or with grandchildren

If you are organising a day out with youngsters then a trip the Bosworth Heritage Centre is the perfect choice, as there are a range of activities including:

Family friendly guided walks, trails, the exhibition (with activities for children), the 1485 Tithe Barn café and the Bosworth Discovery Zone, a FREE space for families with young children.

The zone is the perfect place for families to relax and have fun in the indoor and outdoor spaces, which offer a selection of play and craft activities.

What you can do in the the BDZ

There are outdoor and indoor games, a story reading corner and colouring sheets.

We also have two self-led craft packs available to purchase at our ticket office.

You can choose from a Bosworth Battle or Roman themed pack. Each pack contain 2 craft activities, colouring sheet and a word search for £3.50. Available Thursday- Sunday during Leicestershire school holidays.

Treasure Island – Outdoor Theatre
