Dr Nicola Tallis Talk - Young Elizabeth: Princess. Prisoner. Queen.

In this captivating talk, Dr Nicola Tallis will discuss her latest publication:

Young Elizabeth: Princess. Prisoner. Queen.

Elizabeth’s perilous journey towards England’s throne: the first truly comprehensive biography of the young monarch in over twenty years.

Queenship was by no means a certain path for Henry VIII’s younger daughter. By the time she claimed the throne, she had already endured more tumult than many monarchs experienced in a lifetime. This colourful and immensely detailed biography charts Elizabeth’s turbulent and unstable upbringing, exploring the dangers and tragedies that plagued her early life.

Nicola draws on primary sources including those written by Elizabeth herself to throw new light on the early life of this iconic monarch.

There will be a Q&A after the talk and a chance to get your booked signed.

Copies of Nicola’s books will be available to purchase.
