ANNIVERSARY BATTLE EVENT AUTHOR TALKS: NATHEN AMIN: ‘HENRY TUDOR A WELSH KING’

‘Henry Tudor, A Welsh King?’ will centre on the Welsh background of King Henry VII, the first of the Tudors. Did Henry consider himself Welsh? What connections did he have with the Land of his Fathers? Is the idea of Henry Tudor being a Welshman a modern myth or does this have any historical basis?

Author Talk tickets can only be purchased in conjunction with an Anniversary Battle ticket

The capacity for each talk is 50 – 25 tickets for each talk will be bookable in advance. The remaining 25 tickets will be released at 10.00 am on the day the talk is taking place. Tickets are available from the Ticket Office on a first come first served basis.

Author’s Notes:

Nathen Amin grew up in the heart of Carmarthenshire and has long had an interest in Welsh history and the Welsh origins of the Tudors. This passion has guided him all over Wales to visit a wide variety of historic sites, which he has photographed and researched for his book Tudor Wales. His second book York Pubs was released in 2016 with the first full biography of the Beaufort family coming in 2017.

His talk, ‘Henry Tudor, A Welsh King?’ will centre on the Welsh background of King Henry VII, the first of the Tudors. Did Henry consider himself Welsh? What connections did he have with the Land of his Fathers? Is the idea of Henry Tudor being a Welshman a modern myth or does this have any historical basis?

Nathen also set up the Henry Tudor Society in 2014, seeking to raise awareness of the king on various Social Media Platforms’ or the like!
